PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FROM ANA ELECTION COMMITTEE - June 14, 2011
We, election committee of four members, met on 9th of June and decided to conduct a fair election upon receiving verified voters' list from ANA executive board. We did not get the list until 12th of June, the day we were supposed to publish the list of voters and candidates. We publicly notified this situation and halted our election process until we receive verified voters' list. We have not got the voters' list until today, June 14th.
We heard the rumor that someone got elected without election and without our notice. Since, the chairman of the election committee is out of the country, we three members came to a decision that we would not perform any election process until we receive verified voters' list from the executive board.
Any information coming out without the approval of majority of election committee is unauthentic and should be discarded.We would also like to ask the ANA community to disregard any unauthentic emails or news. We will update the election process in appropriate time.

The Association of Nepalis in Americas
Mr. President,
According to the recommendation of Independent Task Force of Association of Nepalis in Americas (ITFANA), the ANA executive board had given us mandate to conduct next election for the executive officers of ANA, as per Article VI of the association’s bylaws. We followed the bylaws and guidelines given to us and made an announcement for the election with timing. Today is Sunday, June 12th, the day we are supposed to publish the first list of candidates and voters.
Since the membership verification committee is still not done with their job and since we have not officially got the verified voters’ list yet, under such circumstances we are not able to publish the first list of voters and candidates. However, we are still on and are hopeful of finishing the election by June 30th if we are provided the well accepted, non-controversial and complete (with all information including email address) voters’ lists asap. We would also like to ask the executive board to send this notice to public.
