A request to help Dolma Sherpa
|
 | Dolma Sherpa, a domestic help in Kuwait has been languishing in a Kuwaiti central jail at Shamiya for the last seven months on the charge of killing a Filipino woman who worked as another domestic help at the house of Dolma's then employer. Dolma has been convicted of murder and has been given death sentence. The Government of Nepal, the Non-Resident Nepali organization and North American Coordination council (the NRN wing of North America) have been actively garnering support to save Dolma's life by raising funds for good legal counsel in Kuwait. They are also appealing the Kuwaiti government to send her back to Nepal. | | There has been quite a bit of support from the Diaspora worldwide. ANA also seeks support from all our members and well wishers to help Dolma. Please contribute. The funds will be used to hire good legal support on behalf of Dolma. Please click on "Make a donation" button on the right side "Save Dolma's LIFE" to make your pledge. |

As we know that he is admitted in Parkland Hospital on 7th Feb. & his brain-tumor has been removed on 14th Feb. 2008. Thanks a lot to almighty God, his surgery was very successful. Now let us pray for his survival. At this moment, we need to walk with him to make a difference in the fight against his brain tumor. We know that the experience will be deeply rewarding and encourage us to connect with as many people as possible to support this incredible cause of Nav Raj. NST touches people's lives at a time when anyone needs emotional and financial support and a sense of hope. Your support ensures that Nav Raj & his families will always have a place to turn for help. | Season’s greetings and a very happy new year to everyone from the Mile High City of Denver, CO. After a brief interruption in the publication of the ANA newsletter we are resuming this publication for our members. Due to unexpected circumstances and the change of the guards the publication was delayed a little bit this time. We apologize to our members for this interruption and assure you all that we will make this publication timely in the future. In this edition of the newsletter you will find all about the progress that we have made in the last six months or so. | First of all, the 25th annual convention in Los Angeles was a grand success. Our partners at Friends of Nepal, Los Angeles put their heart and soul into this convention and were able to set a new standard of ANA convention. It was not only a well attended convention but also a very well managed event. Politicians, philanthropists, government officials and artists from Nepal were invited to attend this convention. They all contributed in their own ways to this convention and made it livelier. We would like to thank the organizers and volunteers who worked tirelessly for several months in making this convention a grand success.
